Remotal is seeking a senior developer to join a cross-functional team in Paris, focusing on building scalable backend with Python (Django) and frontend (React). You will work on large databases, message queuing, and modern cloud infrastructure (Terraform, GCP, PostgreSQL).

The role splits roughly 50% backend and 50% frontend, with ongoing architectural improvements and migration efforts. The team includes a CTO, two junior developers, one mid-level developer, and a data science group.

Qualifications

• Experience working on projects with large databases and strong SQL skills.
• Experience with RabbitMQ or other message brokers in Python.
• Minimum 7 years of development experience overall.
• At least 5 years of Python experience.
• At least 2 years of Django experience.
• At least 3 years of React experience.

Responsabilités

• Build advanced analytics dashboards.
• Help automate and secure the product as much as possible.
• Help optimize the system.
• Help move to an asynchronous system for data updates.
• Help improve the architecture to scale.
• Support the CTO in improving the project.
• Migrate the architecture to Terraform.

Responsibilities

• Improving and pushing new functionnalities to production
• Taking care of data consistency and scalablity
• Understanding the product and business logic
• Writing and delivering better code
• Doing code reviews
• Bringing in and applying good development practices
• Helping the CTO find ways to improve the code, the architecture and making it more scalable

The team

The Development Team Is Currently Composed Of

• The CTO
• 2 junior fullstack developers
• 1 medium fullstack developer

You will also work with a team of Datascientists composed of 3 people (incl. 2 english-only speakers).

Missions

• Build advanced analytics dashboard

• You have worked on projects with big databases and are confident in your SQL skills
• You have worked with RabbitMQ or other Message Brokers (in python)
• you have at least 7y of exp in development (in general).
• you have at least 5y of exp with Python
• you have at least 2y of exp with Django
• you have at least 3y of exp with React

Bonus Skills & Experience

• Exp. with concepts such as: Hexagonal architecture, Clean, Onion, CQRS
• Exp. setting up a backend on with Terraform
• Exp. setting up services on GCP
