About the Role

We’re looking for a 3D Visual Brand Designer to shape how our brand comes to life through high-fidelity CGI, animation, and cinematic storytelling.

You’ll concept, design, and animate immersive 3D scenes that integrate our vehicles, brand elements, customer experience touchpoints, environments, and motion—supporting everything from internal design evaluations and journey mapping to emotionally resonant external marketing content.

This role is ideal for a hands‑on 3D designer with a cinematic eye, strong design instincts, and the ability to craft beautiful, expressive content in still and moving formats. You’ll partner closely with brand, vehicle, and experience teams to define Scout’s visual language across channels.

What you’ll do

Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick‑up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:

  • Design and render 3D brand moments using vehicle assets and Scout’s visual identity
  • Animate and visualize key touchpoints in the customer journey across digital, spatial, and experiential moments
  • Produce high‑quality CGI and motion content for internal reviews, concept pitches, and external campaigns
  • Edit and assemble short‑form video content that blends 3D scenes, typography, 2D motion graphics, and audio
  • Collaborate with the Director of Brand Experience and cross‑functional partners to shape narrative‑driven visual storytelling
  • Support external vendors and visualization teams with direction, templates, and assets as needed

Location & Travel Expectations:

  • This role will be based remotely within the United States. This role is not eligible for remote work in New York City.
  • The responsibilities of this role require attendance in office with in‑person meetings and events occasionally.
  • Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.
  • Travel: Domestic required, approximately 25% of the time for reviews, events, or team collaboration to HQ. Valid driver's license required.
What you’ll bring

We expect all Scout employees to have integrity, curiosity, resourcefulness, and strive to exhibit a positive attitude, as well as a growth mindset. You’ll be comfortable with change and flexible in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment. You’ll take a collaborative approach to achieve ambitious goals. Here’s what else you’ll bring:

  • 4–5+ years of experience in 3D design, CGI, motion, or animation for brand, entertainment, product, or experiential work
  • Strong portfolio showcasing cinematic 3D visualizations, 3D world‑building, animation, and edited motion content
  • Fluency in Blender, Unreal Engine, Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator), and other relevant 3D/motion tools
  • Ability to concept, light, texture, animate, and composite scenes with a high level of polish and emotion
  • Strong sense of storytelling, pacing, and visual rhythm
  • Highly self‑motivated, organized, and comfortable working autonomously on a remote team
  • Bonus: UI/UX motion experience a plus

Education & Prerequisites

  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Animation, Motion Graphics, Visual Communication, or a related creative field
  • Equivalent professional experience will be considered in place of a formal degree
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
  • Minimum of High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required for all roles at Scout Motors, Inc.
