THE TEAM

Our R&D team is responsible for designing, developing, and evolving the internal products that power our business. As a B2B company specialising in second‑hand luxury items, we rely on technology to optimise every stage of our operations, from buying and inbound logistics to selling and post‑sales support. We are a global team with members across Portugal, Brazil, and the Philippines.

THE ROLE

As a Data Scientist you will be part of a multidisciplinary team within the Data cluster, responsible for the development of strategic data products to enable company competitiveness and analytical insights collaborating closer with the R&D Products line. We’re looking for a team player that is passionate about tech products and is looking for eager opportunities to grow.

Responsibilities and Qualifications

• Collaboratively design, build, and maintain solutions within our platform using multiple tools applying statistical approaches and machine learning techniques.
• Work closely with our Engineers and Analysts on highly impactful and complex challenges. Design, build and expand our data products, taking them to the next level while using state‑of‑the‑art technologies.
• Perform analysis and experiments that allow the team to identify opportunities and follow new implementations contributing directly to the evolution of our data products.
• Have a degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Machine Learning or equivalent specialized training/certification.
• Have at least 5 years of experience in the role or similar with proven experience on data science environments, building and architecting production‑level data products.
• Be capable of designing, modelling, developing, testing and maintaining machine learning solutions and have the experience to productise these solutions.
• Have experience in SQL and Python programming (familiar with TensorFlow and other machine learning libraries).
• Have a strong sense of the data lifecycle and be obsessed with data quality.
• Have a proactive mindset regarding AI tools and solutions with high impact for the business and productivity.
• Be problem‑solving oriented and comfortable speaking English.
• Have experience with CI/CD tools and cloud environments.
