Job summary

BeReal is seeking a Data Engineer to join Voodoo's BeReal scaling effort in Paris. You will build and maintain robust data pipelines, ensuring scalable and secure data architectures to support hundreds of millions of users.

You will collaborate with backend, data science, and product teams in a fast, agile environment, owning projects from design to production, and applying best-practice coding and data engineering standards across the stack.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience as a Data Engineer or similar role.
• Proven track record building and optimizing data pipelines at scale.
• Strong focus on scalability, reliability, and security.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work with unstructured datasets.
• Curiosity about business needs and ability to translate into data solutions.
• Excellent communication skills; collaborative mindset.
• Understanding of ML concepts is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Construct and manage robust data pipelines to align with evolving business needs; ensure optimal architecture support.
• Contribute to codebase, push changes to production, promote best coding practices and data engineering standards.
• Take ownership of projects from discussions to release, including estimation, architecture design, and technology benchmarking.
• Work in a very agile environment with fast decision processes.
• Collaborate with backend, data science, mobile apps, and product/marketing teams.
