Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of the AWS data stack, including various AWS services.
• Strong Python development skills for data engineering, automation, and framework design.
• Good understanding of DevOps practices, including Git-based workflows, Infrastructure as Code, and automated testing.

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Data Architect to design, build, and scale modern cloud data platforms across Microsoft Azure and AWS. This role requires deep hands-on expertise in Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, the AWS data stack, and Python, along with a solid understanding of DevOps practices for data platforms.

You should be comfortable working in fast-paced environments, defining target data architectures, guiding engineering teams, and using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code or equivalent on a daily basis to accelerate delivery, improve code quality, and support documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end modern data architectures for analytics, reporting, AI, and operational use cases.
• Lead the implementation of data platforms using Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, and equivalent orchestration tools.
• Architect and optimize AWS-based data solutions using services such as S3, Glue, Redshift, Athena, Lake Formation, Lambda, EMR, and related components.
• Define and implement data ingestion, transformation, orchestration, storage, and serving layers across cloud environments.
• Build robust ELT/ETL pipelines and reusable data frameworks using Python.
• Establish best practices for data modeling, governance, security, lineage, quality, and cost optimization.
• Work closely with data engineers, analysts, DevOps teams, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Support CI/CD, infrastructure automation, testing, monitoring, and release management for data workloads.
• Contribute hands-on to architecture decisions, technical reviews, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
• Use Claude Code or equivalent AI coding tools daily to support development, refactoring, documentation, code generation, and productivity improvement.
• Mentor teams on modern data architecture standards, engineering discipline, and platform best practices.

Required Skills and Experience

• Strong experience as a Data Architect, Cloud Data Architect, or Senior Data Engineer / Architect.
• Deep expertise with Microsoft Fabric.
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory and similar orchestration/integration tools.
• Strong knowledge of the AWS data stack, including services such as: S3, Glue, Redshift, Athena, Lake Formation, Lambda, EMR.
• Strong Python development skills for data engineering, automation, and framework design.
• Good understanding of DevOps practices, including:

• Automated testing
• Observability and monitoring
• Environment and release management
• Strong understanding of data warehousing, lakehouse architectures, data modeling, and data governance.
• Experience designing secure, scalable, and maintainable cloud-native data platforms.
• Ability to work across both architecture and hands-on delivery
