Lam Research in Paris seeks an experienced Computational Software Engineer to develop the next generation of physics-based semiconductor process simulation technologies. You will work at the intersection of software engineering, computational physics, and process technology to model plasma-surface interactions and to design high-performance simulation software for researchers and product teams.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or MS in a technical discipline related to physics, computation, or engineering.
• Experience developing feature-scale simulation tools for plasma etch and deposition processes.
• Strong programming experience in C++ and Python.

Responsabilités

• Design, implement, and maintain computational software for feature-scale semiconductor process simulation.
• Develop and enhance physics-based models for plasma-surface interactions and process evolution.
• Translate theories and models into robust production-quality software for researchers and engineers.
• Collaborate with scientists and product teams to improve model fidelity and predictive capability.
• Develop numerical algorithms for geometry evolution, particle transport, and multiphysics phenomena.
• Optimize simulation performance for multicore CPUs and GPUs.
• Validate model predictions against experimental data and metrology results.
• Contribute to software architecture, testing, and code reviews, and explore ML or digital twin approaches.
• Publish results and contribute to patents and publications when appropriate.
