SPL's environmental laboratory in Plano, TX seeks a Senior Chemist to lead analytical work from the bench, guide method development, and ensure data quality across audits and investigations. You will own complex analyses, mentor staff, and partner with the Lab Manager to improve performance.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Chemistry or related field and 5+ years of regulated-lab experience, with advanced hands-on instrumentation and QA/QC expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, or a related scientific field.
• 5+ years of progressive analytical laboratory experience in a regulated environment with leadership and mentorship.
• Advanced hands-on expertise with analytical instrumentation and complex troubleshooting.
• Experience with analytical method development, validation, transfer and optimization.
• Strong QA/QC, data integrity, documentation, and regulatory compliance knowledge.

Responsabilités

• Provide day-to-day technical guidance and resolve escalations in a high-volume laboratory.
• Review, interpretation, validation, and approval of analytical data and documents in LIMS.
• Develop, transfer, validate, and troubleshoot analytical methods per procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee instrument performance, calibration, maintenance, and repair to minimize downtime.
• Lead investigations into nonconformances, method deviations, and CAPA actions.
• Train and mentor staff on methods, instrumentation, and quality practices.
• Develop, review, and maintain SOPs and controlled laboratory documents.
• Support audits, data integrity initiatives, and accreditation compliance.
