Betclic Group in Bordeaux is seeking a Senior Casino Game Designer to shape Betclic Original casino games from concept to global launch. You will craft authentic concepts, gameplay mechanics, player journeys and features, while maintaining responsible game design and brand integrity.

You will collaborate with AI, game economy, engineering and product teams to deliver high-quality, commercially strong experiences across Slots, Crash and Instant Games.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience producing or designing digital games.
• Deep understanding of player psychology, motivation and entertainment-driven experiences.
• Deep understanding of casino game design, including game mechanics and economies.
• Translate player insights into compelling game concepts and improvements.
• Comfortable exploring new concepts, mechanics and technologies.
• Strong understanding of the online casino market and trends.
• Advanced expertise in Figma and modern design systems.

ENTER THE GAME

As Senior Casino Game Designer, you will shape Betclic Original casino games from concept to global launch. You will design original game concepts, define gameplay mechanics, player journeys, features, pacing and creative direction. You will produce design assets and documentation as well as use AI-enabled design and prototyping tools to bring ideas to life before development. Your work will create casino experiences that are meaningful, intuitive, immersive, and memorable while staying clear, trustworthy, and responsible.

You’ll champion Betclic’s creative vision and identity by producing distinctive game designs that reflect our brand, delight players across our markets, and help build a recognizable portfolio of Betclic Original games. You’ll work closely with AI experts, game economy designers, developers, product designers, and content designers to turn your designs into high-quality, commercially strong games.

From Slots to Crash and Instant Games, you’ll create entertainment experiences not just mechanics and screens that players remember and return to.

YOUR ROLE WITHIN BETCLIC

• Design and produce engaging online casino games, including Slots, Crash and Instant Games, from concept to global launch.
• Create game concepts, gameplay mechanics, features, player journeys and progression systems that deliver innovative and entertaining experiences.
• Apply player psychology and modern game-design principles to create engaging, immersive, and responsibly designed casino experiences.
• Collaborate with game economy experts to define game economies, balancing, and gameplay mechanics.
• Produce game design documents, creative briefs, functional specifications and prototypes to guide development.
• Collaborate with AI experts, developers, product designers and content designers within Betclic’s dedicated teams to bring Original games to life.
• Follow the end-to-end production process from concept to launch, supporting planning, testing, release, and post-launch improvements.
• Collaborate with external studios and production partners to ensure all assets and game deliveries meet Betclic’s quality and brand standards.
• Review game builds, provide actionable feedback, and ensure every game reflects Betclic’s creative vision, quality standards and brand identity.
• Participate in player research and user testing to better understand player motivations, preferences, expectations and entertainment value across our markets and continuously improve our games.
• Stay up to date with casino market trends, emerging mechanics, competitor products, and new technologies to inspire future games.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

• 8+ years of experience producing or designing digital games, ideally within the online casino, casual mobile F2P game or other entertainment-led product industry.
• Deep understanding of player psychology, motivation, behaviour, and how meaningful, entertainment-driven experiences are created responsibly.
• Deep understanding of casino game design, including game mechanics, player engagement, progression, pacing, game economies, reward systems, and responsible game design.
• Able to translate player insights, research, and behavioural data into compelling game concepts and continuous game improvements.
• Comfortable exploring new game concepts, mechanics, and technologies to create differentiated entertainment experiences.
• Strong understanding of the online casino market, player expectations, competitors, game providers, emerging trends, and successful game mechanics.
• Advanced expertise in Figma and modern design systems.
• Actively use AI throughout the design process and understand how it enhances product thinking, design craft, engineering collaboration, and product quality not just visual generation.
• Proven experience collaborating closely with Product Management, Engineering, and multidisciplinary game development teams.
• Experience working with external game studios, suppliers, or production partners.
• Strong project management skills and demonstrated experience managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable writing product requirements, game briefs, and production documentation.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to align creative, technical, and commercial stakeholders.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data to improve products and player experience.
• Passion for gaming and a genuine curiosity for innovation in the online casino space.

WHAT ARE THE RECRUITMENT STEPS?

If your application is shortlisted, Elliot will contact you within a week for an initial HR screening (30 minutes). Then, you will complete the AssessFirst test (personality, motivation and cognitive reasoning).

Next, you will meet Geoffroy, our Head of Casino, for an interview.

Then, you will prepare a use case that you will present to the Casino and Design team.

Finally, Elliot will conduct a final HR interview to review your AssessFirst results together.

The recruitment process usually takes between 4 to 6 weeks to ensure an optimal experience for you.
