Block is seeking a Senior engineer to contribute to the Lightning Development Kit (LDK) by writing and reviewing code, strengthening test infrastructure, and helping projects that use LDK.

You will work on language bindings (Java/Kotlin, C#, JavaScript/WASM, Swift), splicing and dual-funded channels, Taproot features, and performance improvements, with potential server-side LDK. Passion for Bitcoin is a plus.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional experience.
• Hands-on experience with bitcoin and the Lightning Network.
• Experience programming with Rust, C, or C++.
• Ability to thrive in ambiguity and build creative solutions to complex problems.
• Appreciation for bitcoin.

Responsabilités

• Contribute to LDK by writing and reviewing code.
• Improve testing infrastructure.
• Assist projects and companies that use LDK.
• Add and maintain features such as language bindings, splicing and dual-funded channels, Taproot (including musig, PTLCs, multi-sig scripts, and custom scripts).
• Improve the performance, scalability, and robustness of LDK.
• Develop a server version of LDK.
• Pursue passion projects related to bitcoin when not coding.
