Job summary

Photoroom in Paris (hybrid) seeks a Senior backend engineer to own the pricing system across all apps. You will shape pricing architecture, drive Product Growth initiatives, and collaborate with frontend and product teams to scale performance.

With 5+ years of Django and DRF, you will design scalable relational databases, manage subscriptions with Stripe and RevenueCat, and deliver OpenAPI-enabled endpoints. Fluent English and strong ownership are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend experience with Django and DRF.
• Experience designing relational schemas at scale and performing migrations with minimal downtime.
• Experience with SaaS pricing and subscription management (Stripe, RevenueCat).
• Hands-on with PostgreSQL/MySQL databases larger than 100 GB.
• Collaborating with frontend engineers to design endpoints and OpenAPI documentation.
• Pragmatic, fast iteration, leveraging existing frameworks to avoid reinvention.
• Strong ownership and willingness to make product and technical decisions.
• Fluent in English; French not required.

Responsibilities

• Own pricing system architecture and implementation across iOS, Android, Web, and API.
• Collaborate with product and frontend teams to deliver pricing features and growth initiatives.
• Monitor performance and scale; optimize endpoints to reduce latency.
• Iterate rapidly based on user feedback and usage metrics.
