Baliston, based in Nancy, France, is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to own our cloud-backed platform. You will develop, maintain, and scale APIs in Node.js with TypeScript, deployed on AWS, and work on-site at Place Stanislas.

You will shape API design, pursue CI/CD excellence, and mentor a small senior team, partnering with mobile engineers to define data contracts and ensure secure, high-performance data pipelines for health-tech products.

Qualifications

• Deep production experience with Node.js and TypeScript backends.
• Strong architecture skills: API design and scalable systems.
• Practical AWS experience, especially Lambda, API Gateway, CloudWatch, DynamoDB/S3, IAM.
• Proven track record building and running production APIs for mobile or client-facing apps.
• Willingness to work on-site in Nancy, France.

Responsabilités

• Develop, maintain, and optimize core backends in Node.js and TypeScript.
• Own the API contracts between our cloud and client applications, REST, payload optimization, and security.
• Collaborate with mobile engineers to define clean API schemas and data contracts.
• Drive CI/CD automation, observability, and documentation.
