Job summary

SpiraTec France, part of the international SpiraTec Group, is seeking a Senior Automation Engineer (f/m/x) to lead automation projects from concept to commissioning for leading industrial clients near Lyon.

You will own projects, design and qualify modern automation systems, and work with multidisciplinary teams. Fluency in French and English is required; German is a plus. The role offers international exposure, flexible on-site work, and a competitive salary.

Qualifications

Extensive hands-on experience with DCS in process automation.
Experience in pharmaceutical environments (CSV, GAMP5) appreciated but optional.
Strong understanding of process engineering for functional specs.
Completed technical education (technician / university degree).
Able to work independently and in teams with a hands-on mindset.
Fluent in French and English; German helpful.
Willing to spend weeks at customer sites for on-site experience.

Responsibilities

Take ownership of automation projects from concept to commissioning and support.
Advise clients and tailor automation solutions to needs.
Design, implement, qualify, and commission state-of-the-art systems.
Act as a trusted partner for customers and suppliers; ensure clear communication.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to continuous improvement.
