Solventum is seeking a Senior Applications Engineer to lead local engineering support for customer-focused applications and collaborate with sales to address market needs in France. You will build expertise in filtration technologies, publish findings, and drive joint endeavours with customers.

You will work with cross-functional teams to translate customer insights into on-site product evaluations and high-impact solutions, leveraging your technical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline from an accredited institution.
• 5+ years of experience in applications engineering / product engineering and/or direct customer technical support.
• Proficiency with office, CAD/drafting and statistical software, with hands-on project management experience.
• Proven collaborations delivering presentations at conferences and publishing peer‑reviewed papers.
• Fluency in English and proficiency in an additional language (Spanish, Italian, or French).

Description du poste

• Lead and provide engineering support for local applications in response to requests from the business team, resolving the most complex issues encountered by our customers and fostering a responsive "customer first" culture.
• Develop a deep understanding of our customers' needs and the local market, including future market and technology trends and the value that Solventum's solutions can deliver.
• Support local customers by developing and reproducing high-impact applications, and manage account activities in collaboration with key account managers and local sales teams.
• Become an expert in filtration processes and technologies by building and maintaining relationships with key opinion leaders, encouraging collaboration within Solventum's customer base, and promoting Solventum technology and innovation through joint publications, presentations, and active industry engagement.
• Work across Solventum organizations to provide customer insights, support customer-focused sales and marketing activities, and promote future on-site product evaluations at customer sites.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Science, or an equivalent engineering discipline from an accredited institution.
• More than five (5) years of experience in applications engineering / product engineering and/or direct customer technical support in a relevant industry, ideally in water treatment, drinking water applications, or similar technologies.
• Proficiency with office, CAD/drafting and statistical software, with hands‑on experience in project management and in industrial or production environments.
• Proven experience in technical collaborations within internal and external organizations, delivering presentations at professional technical conferences, and publishing peer‑reviewed scientific papers.
• Fluency in English and proficiency in an additional language (Spanish, Italian, or French).
