Job summary

VIAVI Solutions in Saint-Étienne seeks an experienced embedded electronics project leader to drive the development of optical measurement modules and the design of analog electronic boards. You will analyze requirements, propose technical solutions, and ensure performance qualification and specification validation within the R&D team.

Qualifications

• An engineering degree in electronics (classical academic background preferred: CPGE / engineering school).
• Experience in embedded electronic board design (ideally 5 years, or a junior profile with demonstrated significant experience).
• Experience in optics and fiber optic measurement would be a significant advantage.
• Strong analytical and synthesis skills.
• Good communication skills; fluency in French and minimum B2 in English.

Responsibilities

• Analyze technical requirements and propose technical solutions following requests from marketing team.
• Design and validate electronic boards.
• Integrate electronic boards in a multi-technology environment (mechanical, optical, and software) with other groups within R&D.
• Define R&D adjustment and calibration procedures for production, in collaboration with the industrialization team.
• Qualification and performance review to validate specifications.
