A leading biotech company is seeking a Senior AI Scientist to join their Computational Biology team. This role involves designing machine learning algorithms for biological datasets, developing models for drug response, and collaborating with a diverse team. The ideal candidate will have a PhD or MSc in a relevant field, strong Python skills, and experience with deep learning frameworks. This position offers a chance to impact cancer drug discovery significantly.

Qualifications

  • PhD (or MSc with 4+ years of experience) in Computational Biology, AI / ML, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in Python and deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX.
  • Demonstrated expertise in generative models, GNNs, LLMs, causal inference, multitask learning, active learning, or diffusion models.
  • Strong background in omics data analysis (e.g., RNA-seq, WGS) and integration into AI models.
  • Familiarity with scalable compute environments (cloud, multi-GPU, distributed training) and version control systems (Git, etc.).

I am partnering with a rapidly growing biotech company at the forefront of precision oncology, leveraging patient-derived biological models to transform the landscape of cancer drug discovery.

Their platform enables the generation of high-resolution, multimodal datasets from patient-relevant systems, which are used to develop and validate new therapeutic strategies grounded in real-world biology.

I am recruiting for a Senior AI Scientist to join their Computational Biology team and drive the development of cutting-edge AI / ML solutions that integrate diverse biological data to accelerate therapeutic discovery.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Design and implement state-of-the-art machine learning algorithms to analyze large-scale, multimodal biological datasets, including genomics, transcriptomics, and functional screening data.
  • Develop predictive and generative models to characterize tumor heterogeneity, predict drug response, and identify novel biomarkers and therapeutic targets.

Requirements

  • PhD (or MSc with 4+ years of experience) in Computational Biology, AI / ML, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in Python and deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX.
  • Demonstrated expertise in at least one of the following : generative models, GNNs, LLMs, causal inference, multitask learning, active learning, or diffusion models.
  • Strong background in omics data analysis (e.g., RNA-seq, WGS) and integration into AI models.
  • Familiarity with scalable compute environments (cloud, multi-GPU, distributed training) and version control systems (Git, etc.).

Bonus Points

  • Experience with oncology datasets or cancer biology.
  • Exposure to single-cell omics, spatial transcriptomics, or proteomics data.
  • Contributions to open-source projects and / or authorship in peer-reviewed scientific journals.
