Swapcard is seeking a Security Engineer to strengthen our cloud security stance across in-person and remote teams. You will implement secure AWS configurations, monitor threats, and coordinate vulnerability management with IT and DevOps.

This role emphasizes collaboration with IT, compliance, and security operations to safeguard our SaaS platform. You’ll work in a remote-first environment with an international team and have opportunities to influence security roadmaps, tooling, and proactive

Qualifications

• 3+ years in Security Engineering, SecOps, or Cloud Security.
• Hands-on with AWS security configuration and monitoring.
• Familiarity with identity management (SSO, MFA) and security agents on endpoints.

Responsabilités

• Improve AWS security configurations (IAM, GuardDuty, CloudTrail, Inspector).
• Manage and maintain security tools: EDR, MDM, DLP, compliance agents.
• Coordinate with IT to enforce security baselines on laptops and endpoints.
• Review SOC alerts, investigate incidents, and drive remediation.
• Perform vulnerability management and coordinate patching with IT/DevOps.
• Improve and maintain WAF rules and anti-bot protections.
• Support PCI-DSS reviews and quarterly security tasks.
• Document security configurations for cloud and SaaS tools.
• Contribute to Backup, DRP, and BCP testing with Infra/IT teams.
• Provide input to security roadmap with practical ops improvements.

What you'll be doing?

• Improve AWS security configurations (IAM, GuardDuty, CloudTrail, Amazon Inspector, etc.).
• Manage and maintain security tools: EDR, MDM, DLP, compliance agents, etc.
• Coordinate with IT to ensure all laptops and endpoints follow security baselines.
• Review and respond to SOC provider alerts, investigate incidents, and manage the final remediation phase.
• Perform vulnerability management and coordinate patching with IT and DevOps.
• Improve and maintain WAF rules, anti-bot protections, and other application-layer defenses.
• Support access reviews, PCI-DSS reviews, and quarterly/monthly security tasks.
• Document and implement security configurations for cloud and SaaS tools.
• Contribute to Backup, DRP, and BCP testing in collaboration with Infra/IT teams.
• Provide input to security roadmap planning with practical improvements from operations.

What you should have?

• 3+ years of experience in Security Engineering, SecOps, or Cloud Security.
• Hands-on experience with AWS security configuration and monitoring.
• Familiarity with EDR, MDM, DLP, and identity management (SSO, MFA).
• Experience managing and troubleshooting security agents on endpoints.
• Knowledge of incident investigation and coordination with SOC services.
• Strong understanding of vulnerability management processes.
• Comfortable collaborating with IT, DevOps, and compliance teams.

Bonus Points

• Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code security (Terraform).
• Knowledge of container security (Kubernetes, Helm).
• Experience automating security tasks with scripts or CI/CD integrations.
• Exposure to SOC 2, PCI-DSS or ISO 27001 evidence collection and audits.
• Interest in continuous improvement and tool optimization.
