Amadeus in Nice is seeking a blended Scrum Master and Senior Java Software Developer to lead Agile teams while contributing to full‑stack development using Java, Quarkus and Angular. You will operate in a hybrid environment, balancing leadership with hands‑on coding and technical delivery for airline and ecommerce solutions.

The role emphasizes Lean‑Agile coaching, collaboration with international stakeholders, and continuous improvement across both legacy and modern applications.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Scrum Master in an Agile environment.
• Strong software development background, ideally with Java and modern web technologies.
• Able to balance team leadership with hands-on technical contributions.
• Experience with SAFe, security, or accessibility is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Coach the team in Lean-Agile principles, Scrum and Kanban practices.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including planning, refinements, reviews, retrospectives and daily stand‑ups.
• Remove impediments, promote continuous improvement and strengthen collaboration across teams and stakeholders.
• Track team progress, commitments, risks and key Agile execution metrics.
• Contribute to wider SAFe initiatives beyond the immediate Scrum team.
• Analyze requirements and design sustainable technical solutions.
• Develop and maintain full‑stack applications using Java, Quarkus, Angular and associated web technologies.
• Write and review code, technical specifications, automated tests and end‑to‑end tests.
• Support production delivery, maintenance and debugging across customer‑facing web applications.
• Mentor less‑experienced colleagues and contribute to technical and quality standards.

Job Title

Scrum Master & Senior Java Software Developer

Summary

Join our Services Engineering team in Nice and help build and maintain customer-facing digital solutions for airlines across the EMEA region. Working closely with airline stakeholders and international teams, you will contribute to bespoke eCommerce experiences powered by Amadeus digital products and platforms, including solutions for Aegean Airlines. This is a hybrid position combining Scrum Master leadership with hands‑on software development. You will support a collaborative Agile team, strengthen its effectiveness and contribute to both established applications and new middleware capabilities. The balance between Scrum Master and development responsibilities may be adjusted between approximately 50/50 and 70/30, depending on your experience and development interests.

Key Responsibilities

About The Ideal Candidate

• Proven experience as a Scrum Master in an Agile environment;
• Strong software development background, ideally with Java and modern web technologies;
• Able to balance team leadership with hands‑on technical contributions;
• Comfortable working across both legacy and modern applications;
• Collaborative and proactive, with a servant‑leader mindset;
• Strong communication skills and fluency in English. The role requires close collaboration with international teams and airline stakeholders across the EMEA region;
• Curious, adaptable, and eager to learn new technologies and domains;
• Experience with SAFe, security, or accessibility is a plus.
