Gramian Consultancy is seeking a senior AOCS/GNC Engineer to support satellite projects through the full lifecycle—from studies and proposals to design, development, verification and customer acceptance.

You will focus on Attitude and Orbit Control Systems, Guidance, Navigation and Control, algorithm development, software verification, simulation campaigns and technical documentation. Fluency in English is required, with on-site work in Friedrichshafen, Germany and relocation support.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in the space industry.
• Hands-on experience with AOCS/GNC subsystems and software.
• Strong knowledge of estimation and control theory.
• Good knowledge of Matlab/Simulink or comparable toolsuites.

• Develop and verify AOCS/GNC algorithms and related software.
• Perform AOCS/GNC analysis and simulation campaigns.
• Build and maintain analysis and simulation tools.

Role Overview

We are looking for a senior AOCS/GNC Engineer to support satellite projects across the full lifecycle, from early studies and proposals through design, development, verification, and customer acceptance. The role focuses on Attitude and Orbit Control Systems, Guidance, Navigation and Control, algorithm development, software verification, simulation campaigns, and technical documentation.

This position is suited for an experienced space engineer with strong knowledge of estimation and control theory, hands-on experience with Matlab/Simulink, and a background in AOCS/GNC subsystems and software.

CONTRACT: Contractor Agreement

COMMITMENT: Full-time (multi-year)

LOCATIONS: ONSITE Friedrichshafen, Germany; Relocation support

NOTES: EU passport needed; English fluency is required; German is a plus.
