Job description

Sales Manager Recycling
ABOUT FAIRMAT

In just five years, Fairmat has become the global leader in carbon composite materials recovery.

Today, we have secured more than 3,000 tonnes of carbon composite feedstock through long-term agreements across Europe, North America and Asia. The world’s largest carbon fiber and composite manufacturers trust Fairmat to give a second life to materials that would otherwise be landfilled or incinerated.

We are now entering the next phase of our growth.

As a Sales Recycling Manager, your mission is to continue this journey: expand our global feedstock network, secure the next generation of strategic partnerships, and ensure Fairmat has the materials required to support its industrial ambitions for years to come.

YOUR ROLE

Reporting to the head of Sales Recycling and Feedstock, you will join a team growing to 5 people (current 2) and participate to Fairmat’s Recycling commercial strategy across Europe, North America and China.

This role is responsible for securing the feedstock required to support Fairmat’s ambition of becoming the global leader in circular carbon composite materials.

Success in this role means delivering immediate feedstock volumes while securing the strategic partnerships and long-term agreements that will underpin Fairmat’s growth through 2028 and beyond.

ABOUT THE TEAM

You will integrate Fairmat’s Recycling commercial team and work closely with the CEO, Marketing, Quality and Operations teams across Europe, North America and China.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
GROW EXISTING ACCOUNTS
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of existing recycling and feedstock partners by identifying expansion opportunities across new waste streams, production sites, geographies and business units.

  • Build and execute account development plans, negotiate commercial and contractual terms, and coordinate internal stakeholders to deliver new projects and contract extensions.

  • Develop trusted relationships across customer organizations while driving satisfaction, retention, contracted volumes and long-term partnership growth.

DEVELOP NEW ACCOUNTS AND STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS
  • Build and maintain a qualified pipeline by identifying and engaging carbon composite waste holders across target industries and geographies.

  • Lead opportunities from initial contact through commercial negotiation, material qualification, industrial validation and operational onboarding, in coordination with Product, Quality, Technical and Legal teams.

  • Structure and close long-term agreements, monitor project ramp-up and delivery performance, and maintain accurate opportunity, volume and revenue forecasts.

LEADERSHIP & COMPANY STRATEGY
  • Provide structured market intelligence on feedstock availability, customer needs, competitive dynamics and emerging opportunities.

  • Contribute to the prioritization of target accounts, industries, materials and geographies while representing the voice of customers and partners internally.

  • Support the continuous improvement of the team’s commercial tools and processes, and represent Fairmat in customer meetings, industry events and strategic partnership discussions.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
  • You have a proven track record of building and scaling B2B businesses in advanced materials, industrial manufacturing, recycling, chemicals, aerospace, energy or similarly complex industries.

  • You have personally led and closed strategic commercial agreements representing more than €10 million in annual revenue and/or built an order book exceeding €50 million.

  • You are comfortable navigating complex organizations and engaging senior decision-makers in international industrial groups.

  • You thrive in entrepreneurial environments, are comfortable operating in ambiguity and enjoy building organizations, processes and partnerships from scratch.

  • You combine strategic thinking with hands‑on execution and are willing to spend significant time in the field with customers and partners.

  • You are comfortable working across multiple cultures and geographies and communicate fluently in English.

  • Experience in composites, carbon fiber, advanced materials, circular economy or industrial waste valorization is a strong advantage.

  • You are excited by the opportunity to build a new industrial category from the ground up.
