Job summary

Genesis is seeking a senior on-site operator to lead the Paris data collection floor. You will perform precise, hands-on work with teleoperation and real-world robot demonstrations, turning requests into repeatable collection tasks and quality-controlled outputs.

You will mentor other operators, shape the Paris workflow, and collaborate with research and model engineering to scale operations while maintaining high-quality data collection standards.

Qualifications

• Precise, repetitive physical work at a high quality bar and able to explain quality metrics.
• Experience in data collection, teleoperation, or robotics lab work is a plus.
• Hands-on robot or glove-based data collection is beneficial.
• Data collection work is new; training on our tools will be provided.
• You build, not just run tasks; you create repeatable processes.
• You can operate autonomously and take ownership of complex tasks.
• You understand quality beyond data collection and iterate improvements.
• You have led or mentored hands-on teams before.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Paris data collection floor and set day-to-day execution and quality standards.
• Own complex collection setups, including fixtures, props, and procedures.
• Turn loosely defined requests into a working, repeatable collection task.
• Create high-quality training data and precise demonstrations for model training.
• Wear gloves and cameras to teleoperate hardware and produce repeatable outputs.
• Own the full collection workflow from setup to execution and review.
• Review work to identify unusable data and support annotation for research.
• Build repeatable tasks and clean processes for the team to execute.
• Translate research and model engineering requests into physical collection tasks.
• Propose improvements to fixtures, layouts, procedures, and collection methods.
• Write and improve the playbook; own SOPs, quality checks, and training materials.
• Guide, onboard, and mentor operators to scale the Paris operation.
• Run real-robot testing with reliability and engineering collaboration.
• Ensure quality is maintained and drive continuous enhancement.
