Mistral AI is seeking a Lead/Staff Applied Scientist to spearhead robotics research and industrial collaborations. You will define technical direction for robotics, design and deploy SOTA models (VLM, VLA) with industrial partners, guiding cross-functional teams across research, engineering, and product.

You will build and mentor a team of robotics scientists, run large-scale pre-training and deployment, and own data strategies for perception, navigation, and manipulation tasks.

Competenze

• Experience leading AI/engineering teams.
• Expert in PyTorch or JAX.
• Deep experience with Vision-Language Models (VLM) and Vision-Language-Action (VLA).
• Strong Python coding ability and software craftsmanship.
• Experience shipping models on real robots is a plus.
