Job summary

Harmattan AI is seeking an RF Electronics Engineer to design and integrate RF PCBs for a drone-to-base station link. You will produce schematics, manage PCB layout, and ensure rugged, low-latency performance.

You will collaborate with mechanical and other R&D teams, tackle EMC challenges, and validate boards through testing. A Master’s in Electrical Engineering and 2–5 years of experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in electronic board development, testing & validation.
• Experience with RF systems and their impact on board design.
• Strong problem-solving, autonomous work style and initiative.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to lead.

Responsibilities

• Schematic design of PCBs, including component placement and routing.
• Oversee physical integration of PCBs into the product, in collaboration with mechanical engineers.
• Address and resolve EMC issues as they arise.
• Conduct thorough testing and validation of PCBs upon reception.
• Collaborate with other R&D teams to ensure seamless coordination.

About The Role

You will join a dedicated R&D initiative at Harmattan AI focused on developing a wireless link module for drone-to-base station communications. As an RF Electronics Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and integrating PCBs and electrical systems in a compact, rugged form factor - ensuring reliability, low latency, and field readiness.

Responsibilities

• Perform the schematic design of PCBs, including component placement and routing
• Oversee the physical integration of PCBs into the product, in collaboration with mechanical engineers
• Address and resolve electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) issues as they arise
• Conduct thorough testing and validation of PCBs upon reception
• Work closely with other R&D teams to ensure seamless coordination

Candidate Requirements

• Educational Background: Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• Strong PCB design and layout experience (Altium or equivalent)
• Experience: 2-5 years in the development of electronic boards, including testing and validation
• Experience with RF systems and their implications on PCB design
• Problem-Solving: Ability to work autonomously and solve complex technical challenges
• Communication & Influence: Excellent written and verbal communication, capable of leading diverse principals - from junior members to senior executives
