Stepping Stones Crisis Society in France is seeking a Sales Associate to support two locations, Ella’s Closet and Orbiting Trends, delivering friendly, customer-focused service and assisting with fundraising through the stores.

You will handle donations, pricing, stocking, cash register transactions, and help promote products, while maintaining store cleanliness and a professional, empathetic attitude.

Qualifications

Stepping Stones Crisis Society, is looking for a Sales Associate to work at our Ella’s Closet and Orbiting Trends locations.

The primary responsibility of the Sales Associate is to provide excellent customer service to anyone who enters the store while remaining polite, courteous, and professional. This position will assist customers and support fundraising efforts through the organization’s social enterprises. This position will in our 2 retail locations: Ella’s Closet, A ladies second hand clothing store offering a boutique experience and Orbiting Trends our long standing thrift store location.

Sales And Receiving Associate Duties

• Accept and assist with receiving & sorting donations, including pricing, hanging, steaming and stocking shelves.
• Assist with or complete accurate cash register transactions as required.
• Assist with promotion of products, displays, and in-store advertising.
• Assist with the verification of cash deposits and making cash deposits as required.
• Maintain a high quality of store cleanliness, quality, and customer service.
• Demonstrate enthusiasm and integrity when carrying out assigned tasks and complete assigned tasks within reasonable time frames.
• Greet and assist customers in a manner that models exemplary conduct.
• Act with sensitivity and empathy and in a non-judgmental fashion in dealing with all clientele.
• Maintains awareness of Orbiting Trends/ Ella’s Closet policies and procedures and ensures adherence.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications And Requirements

• High school diploma
• Minimum of 1-year work experience in the retail industry
• Ability to work all shifts (Monday to Saturday)
• Willingness to work within a team atmosphere
• Physically capable of performing all required tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. You may work alone from time to time.
• Ability to read, write, speak, comprehend, and follow written and oral directions in English
• Politically and culturally sensitive. Ability to relate to clientele, staff and all volunteers in a non-judgmental manner, and to always respect confidentiality
• Professional, responsive, and positive work attitude is essential
• The ability to work independently with minimal supervision and in a team environment.
• Basic computer, cash handling and math skills

• Standard First Aid/CPR Training is considered an asset
