CGN Europe Energy is seeking a Renewable Maintenance Technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on GE wind turbines and associated High Voltage installations in France. The role emphasizes safety, field interventions, and troubleshooting to improve asset availability and reliability.

You will support maintenance campaigns, contribute to the internalization of GE wind turbine maintenance activities, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence

Qualifications

• Technical qualification in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, Electrotechnics or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of wind turbine maintenance experience.
• Valid driving licence (B) and ability to work at heights (GWO).
• Professional French and English proficiency.

Responsabilités

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on GE wind turbines, HV installations and related equipment.
• Conduct inspections, troubleshooting, field interventions and repairs as per procedures and safety standards.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical and control faults and implement corrective actions.
• Support maintenance campaigns, optimization initiatives and internalization of GE wind turbine maintenance.
• Record interventions in CMMS and prepare maintenance reports and feedback.

Description du poste

Within the OMD Department and the Field Services and Maintenance team, the Renewable Maintenance Technician performs preventive and corrective maintenance activities on wind turbines, High Voltage installations and associated equipment within the assigned technical scope, with a primary focus on GE wind turbine technology.

The position plays a key role in supporting the company's maintenance operations and the planned internalization of maintenance activities for GE wind turbines.

Wind Turbine, High Voltage Maintenance & Technical Support

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities on GE wind turbines, High Voltage installations and associated equipment.
• Execute inspections, basic and complex troubleshooting activities, field interventions and repair operations in accordance with maintenance procedures, OEM requirements and safety standards.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical and control system faults, identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Participate in maintenance campaigns, major corrective interventions and reliability improvement initiatives.
• Provide technical expertise and field support related to GE wind turbine technology.
• Support maintenance strategy development, maintenance optimization initiatives and the progressive internalization of wind turbine maintenance activities.
• Support knowledge transfer and future development of in-house GE maintenance capabilities.

Maintenance Operations & CMMS Support

• Perform maintenance activities in accordance with approved maintenance plans and company procedures.
• Record intervention data, technical observations and maintenance activities in the CMMS (Field services management) to ensure full traceability.
• Prepare intervention reports, maintenance documentation and technical feedback.
• Support work order management, maintenance follow-up and maintenance history updates.
• Contribute to asset availability, operational performance and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support maintenance activities on other wind turbine technologies, substations or electrical systems when required.

QHSE & Operational Compliance

• Apply and contribute to company QHSE procedures, electrical safety requirements and operational standards during all maintenance activities.
• Participate in safety meetings, inspections and prevention initiatives.
• Identify, report and escalate operational or safety risks.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of HSE performance and safety culture.

Additional Requirements

• Travel within France is required.
• Occasional support to other European operations may be required.
• Participation in future on-call activities may be required.

Profile

The candidate is a wind turbine maintenance technician with proven hands‑on experience in wind turbine maintenance and practical exposure to GE wind turbine technology. The candidate demonstrates a strong safety mindset, the ability to work autonomously in the field and a pragmatic approach to troubleshooting and maintenance activities. Experience supporting maintenance optimization, technical problem solving and operational excellence within renewable energy environments is highly valued.

Qualifications Required

Education / Professional Background

• Technical qualification (BTS, DUT or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, Electrotechnics, Electromechanics or a related technical field.

Work Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience in wind turbine maintenance.
• Demonstrated practical experience on GE wind turbines.
• Experience in preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting and field interventions.

Mandatory Certifications / Authorizations

• Valid driving license (Category B).
• Ability to work at heights (GWO).

Language Requirements

• Professional proficiency in French.
• Professional working proficiency in English.

Preferred

• Experience in wind farm operations and maintenance environments.
• Experience in High Voltage (HV) and Low Voltage (LV) maintenance activities.
• Experience in troubleshooting, root cause analysis and major corrective maintenance interventions.
• Knowledge of CMMS tools and maintenance reporting processes.
• Experience with additional wind turbine technologies, substations, solar assets or BESS installations.
• Experience working with external service providers or international teams.
• GWO certifications, electrical authorizations and HSE-related competencies would be considered an advantage.
