A leading open source software company is seeking a Software Engineering Manager passionate about open source software, Linux, and cloud computing. You will manage a distributed team of engineers, ensuring their growth and success while delivering high-quality solutions. This role involves advocating for best practices in software development and fostering a collaborative culture. The position is remote but may involve occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Professional software delivery experience using C, C++, Go, Python, or similar.
• Knowledgeable and passionate about software development.
• Leadership experience demonstrating ability to organise complex problem resolution.
• Experience with version control systems such as git.
• Strong commitment to testing methodologies and maintainable code quality.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
• Experience with Linux, particularly Ubuntu.
• Experience with Open Source and Open Source Business Models.
• People management experience in a support organization is a strong plus.

• Manage and lead a distributed team of engineers.
