Crossing Hurdles is seeking a Physics Expert for a remote contract role. You will tackle advanced physics problems, delivering rigorous, thoroughly documented solutions with detailed derivations and LaTeX notation.

Requires a PhD in physics or active PhD candidacy with recent publications and strong skills in LaTeX, Python, and SymPy. You will use Jupyter for computational verification and contribute high-quality written outputs.

Qualifications

• PhD in physics or advanced-stage PhD candidacy with active research experience.
• Research expertise in one or more physics subfields listed in requirements.
• 2–5 recent representative publications with arXiv or DOI records.
• Proficiency with LaTeX for presenting mathematics and with SymPy/Python/Jupyter for computation.
• Excellent technical communication skills with clear, precise outputs.

Responsabilités

• Solve advanced physics problems from your specialization, delivering rigorous, well-documented derivations and analyses.
• Produce technically precise, clearly written solutions, detailing all assumptions, approximations, and final results using LaTeX mathematical notation.
• Utilize SymPy, Python, and Jupyter for symbolic or numerical verification and clear computational workflows where relevant.
• Identify and articulate subtleties in problem statements, including special cases, boundary conditions, and dimensional consistency.
• Flag ambiguities in project materials, proposing well-reasoned interpretations and clarifications as needed.
• Iterate on submitted solutions in response to feedback from project reviewers, ensuring corrections are cleanly integrated.
