Job summary

Outlier is seeking a freelance OpenClaw Agent Builder to shape autonomous agent workflows. Remote, up to $50 USD/hr, paid weekly. Candidates with 2+ years in backend engineering and AI automation will thrive in a production-grade, multi-service environment.

You will write evaluation rubrics, debug agent traces, and stress test agents, with flexible hours (5-10 hrs/week typical, up to 40). Compensation scales with expertise and project needs, with monthly AI tool access included.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in backend engineering, AI automation, or complex systems integration.
• Proven ability to build and maintain production-grade software with modular separation (e.g., distinct services for data parsing, logic processing, and reporting).
• Practical experience building for live, non-mocked environments and handling multi-turn system interactions.
• Outstanding attention to detail and the ability to provide clear, high-density technical feedback on complex system behaviors.
