Job summary

Pathway is seeking 1–2 R&D Engineers to advance attention-based AI models. This is an ambitious foundational project with a flexible GPU budget, guaranteed to be in the seven-digit range minimum.

You will perform distributed model training, help improve/adapt model architectures based on experiments, and design new tasks. Optional: oversee data-prep team activities. Remote work is available with occasional meetings in Paris, Palo Alto, or Wroclaw.

Qualifications

• Publish or contribute to high-impact ML papers; NeurIPS/ICLR/ICML preferred.
• Experience with large-scale LLM training or similar GPU-heavy projects.
• 6+ months in ML research centers (e.g. Google Brain/DeepMind/Apple/Meta/Nvidia).
• Deep learning researcher with LM/RL focus; vision/robotics welcome.
• Hands-on experience with PyTorch, Jax, or TensorFlow.
• Understanding of GPU memory design and communication.
• Familiarity with Git, build systems, and CI/CD.
• Fluent in English.
