Job summary

IXO Inc. seeks a part-time, remote mechanical‑engineering specialist to translate physical systems into models, prepare geometries and runs, and perform structural and thermal analyses using Python-driven workflows.

You will automate preparation, sweeps, optimization and verification, ensuring results meet design constraints. Strong fundamentals and hands-on simulation experience are essential for this flexible, globally accessible role.

Qualifications

Qualify with a mechanical-engineering MS/PhD, or with a mechanical-engineering BS and 1–2 years of relevant design, analysis, simulation, testing or R&D.
Strong applied-mechanics and mechanical-engineering fundamentals.
Experience developing analytical or simulation-based solutions.
Practical Python proficiency and coding-agent experience.

Responsibilities

Translate physical systems and design requirements into models.
Prepare geometry, meshes, material properties, loads, contacts and constraints.
Perform structural, thermal, dynamic, fatigue, buckling or vibration analysis.
Automate preparation, simulation, sweeps, optimization and verification in Python.
Check that results meet physical and design constraints.
