Job summary

Talantir is seeking an experienced Freelance DevOps Engineer to manage DevOps work across Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and DigitalOcean. This contract-based, hands‑on role requires independently handling infrastructure, CI/CD, deployments, and system reliability.

The engagement is task-based with potential for ongoing collaboration based on performance and future workload. Remote work is offered, with an emphasis on delivering end-to-end DevOps solutions for a small team.

Qualifications

• Freelance/contract DevOps experience required.
• Strong on GCP and DigitalOcean.
• Extensive CI/CD pipeline expertise (GitLab preferred).
• Proficient with Linux systems and server administration.
• Hands-on Docker and container deployments.
• IaC experience with Terraform/Ansible; ability to automate.
• Independent worker with strong remote collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI/CD).
• Manage infrastructure on GCP (Compute Engine, Cloud Run, GKE) and DigitalOcean.
• Containerize apps and manage production deployments.
• Implement IaC using Terraform or similar tools.
• Configure dev/stage/prod environments and ensure reliability.
• Monitor health, performance, logs, and uptime; troubleshoot issues.
• Apply security best practices (IAM, secrets, SSL/TLS, firewalls).
• Collaborate with developers to streamline build, test, release workflows.
• Ensure scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency of infra.
