Job summary

InFreelancing is seeking an Assistant Editor to join our remote production team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about YouTube and science content, experienced in edit assisting across digital video, and proficient with video editing software.

The Assistant Editor will report to the in-house Editor and support both in-house and freelance editors by organizing footage, syncing multi-camera shoots, and creating transcripts for reference.

Qualifications

• Experience edit assisting across digital video content.
• Passion for YouTube and science content.
• Proficiency in video editing software.

Responsibilities

• Manage and organise video footage, assets and archives.
• Organise and label rushes.
• Sync multiple cameras and audio into sync maps.
• Create timeline assembly edits at the start of an edit.
• Perform short edits on sponsor sections and source B-Roll footage.
• Create transcripts or reference files to accompany raw footage.
• Support editors with B-Roll and inserting graphics.
