TotalEnergies OneTech is seeking a senior reliability-focused engineer to lead a 3-person team across E&P and GRP domains. You will deliver high-value production availability studies and influence design decisions through robust data and modeling.

The role requires 5+ years in engineering reliability, strong analytical skills, and experience with industrial facilities. You will interface with engineering, operations, and external partners in a multinational context.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or PhD in a quantitative field (probability, statistics, applied mathematics).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering studies and reliability.
• Experience with reliability modeling methods (FMECA, fault trees, Markov models, Monte Carlo, Petri nets).
• Experience with software development roadmaps.
• Proficiency in GRIF is advised.
• Strong understanding of industrial facilities design, operation, reliability, risk, and accidentology.
• Experience with databases and data-driven approaches.
• Strong analytical and synthesis capabilities.
• Ability to work in complex, multicultural environments.
• Strong team spirit and commitment to knowledge sharing.

• Provide actionable recommendations to optimize performance, cost, and CO2 emissions.
• Represent the Company in international working groups and contribute to knowledge dissemination.

Role

Primarily operating within Exploration & Production (E&P) and Gas Renewable and Power (GRP) environments. This is a highly transversal role with both internal and external stakeholders, interfacing with engineering, operations, digital teams, and external contractors. The role represents the Company in international organizations and conferences. The incumbent should have a strong ability to influence, convince, and engage stakeholders at multiple levels. You will be a key contributor to the Company’s development strategy by delivering high-value Production Availability and reliability studies across a broad perimeter (E&P and Renewable). You will lead a team of 3 engineers and play a central role in the activities described below.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the robustness and quality of reliability data.
• Deliver critical studies (Availability, SIL, HIPS) that directly influence design decisions.
• Drive the evolution of the in-house GRIF software suite.
• Support Affiliates and Projects by leading and validating Production Availability Studies (PAS) and reliability studies across the development study and project lifecycle.
• Conduct end-to-end studies: data collection, modeling, analysis, and results communication.
• Provide actionable recommendations to optimize performance, cost, and CO₂ emissions.
• Align GRIF with Company standards, IT requirements, and industry best practices; drive evolutions of GRIF into new domains (Renewables, LNG, hydrogen, CO₂, hybrid systems).
• Supervise subcontractors involved in development, training, and support.
• Promote best practices across Projects and Operations (e.g., PAS methodologies, reliability data usage).
• Represent the Company in international working groups (ISO/TR, industry forums).
• Contribute to knowledge dissemination through teaching, publications, and conferences.
• Identify needs and develop new methodologies or modeling approaches; lead or contribute to R&D initiatives (design, testing, validation, deployment).
• Promote internal expertise through seminars, events, and technical communities.
• Supervise engineers, junior staff, contractors, and trainees; ensure development and knowledge transfer within the team.
• Draft and update Company guides and manuals as a Technical Referent.
