Overview
As a key member of our regional team, the Regional Product Manager plays a pivotal role in bridging customer needs with product strategy. This position is ideal for a technically skilled and commercially aware individual who thrives in a dynamic, customer-facing environment. You will be responsible for identifying and qualifying opportunities, supporting sales efforts, and collaborating closely with Product Marketing Managers and Business Units to drive product adoption and performance. From process mapping and customer roadmap development to market research and product promotion, this role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of semiconductor solutions in your region.
Responsibilities
- Process mapping: identify the opportunity matrix in the existing process flow at customer sites.
- Qualify opportunities: work with UK Product Managers to decide if we want to compete based on knowledge of the application; review competitive and commercial situation and strategic value.
- Customer road map: identify N+1 and N+2 process requirements; report back to product management.
- Sales support: after an opportunity is qualified, work closely with the Sales team to provide answers to questions from the customer and sales team; manage conference calls and/or customer visits; progress the opportunity through discussion and presentation; assist the UK Product Management team and BU experts in answering purchasing specifications; provide inputs to Contract Managers for accurate quoting (Draft System Configuration Details).
- On-site evaluation tool management: be a single point of contact between field team and Factory; keep track of progress of evaluation; explain progress made and highlight if any CIPs are needed; support data generated onsite.
- Develop information sources: develop contacts at customers and suppliers; brief analysts in the factory (market intelligence); share the information gathered with Product Management and BU.
- Customer demos: discuss demo requirements for qualified opportunities, collaborate to complete the demo request form, review with customer and BU, and participate in live demos as needed.
- Competitor analysis: learn about competitors’ products, specifications, pricing, and development plans; assist Product Managers in maintaining a competitor database.
- Tool performance and CIPs: review tool performance and determine whether existing CIPs are sufficient or new CIPs are needed.
- Market research: develop understanding of regional market and trends using customer, supplier, analyst insights, conference papers, and internet research.
- Product promotion: attend trade shows and conferences, contribute to technical papers and presentations, identify new opportunities to promote products and SPTS, and support online promotion through webinars.
Knowledge
Knowledge of some of the following would be advantageous:
- How semiconductors are manufactured.
- Processing of semiconductors (Etch, CVD, PVD, ECD in particular).
- Semiconductor device packaging.
- The business of semiconductor manufacture.

Qualifications
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in engineering or applied science with wafer fab experience.
- Master’s or PhD with fab experience.
Experience
- Proven experience of wafer processing gained either at an equipment vendor or a wafer fab.
Minimum Qualifications
Doctorate (Academic) Degree and 0 years related work experience; Master\u2019s Level Degree and related work experience of 3 years; Bachelor\u2019s Level Degree and related work experience of 5 years.
