Job Description:
The role of the of EUROPE Regional DRY/WET Technology Engineer is to support the implementation of new raw material, new process and new product across our European factory network
The Regional DRY/WET Technology Engineer shares R&D specifications needed to manufacturing DRY & WET product to achieve process specifications conformance and finished product specifications conformance.
His/her functional perimeter is Regional, including ROYAL CANIN and PETNUTRITION manufacturing network.
R&D specifications stands for product specifications and process specifications including:
- Specifications related to raw material processing,
- Specifications related to products (Quality Attributes, Key Quality Attributes)
- Specifications related to process flow, process sequence and equipment parameters settings,
- Specifications related to application of food safety standard and quality control.
The Regional DRY & WET Technology Engineer supports the deployment of the DRY & WET technology expertise of Royal Canin with the EUROPE region PPI (Process & Product Implementation engineers) community.
What are we looking for?
- B.S. or M.S. in Science, Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Food) or related technology program
- Demonstrated industry experience as R&D engineer or Quality & Food Safety Engineer
- Green belt or Black belt for Lean 6-Sigma is a plus
- >5 years relevant experiences in food technology development, process & product scale-up and/or implementation
- Demonstrated Factory experience
- Working in a company with multicultural and international features
What will be your key responsibilities?
- Support DRY/WET INDUSTRIALIZATION pillar in EUROPE region,
- Support execution of Industrial test runs needed for innovation plan deployment or portfolio transfer from a factory to another. Deliver guidance on SRC definition and support troubleshooting.
- Support any regional must do projects like product quality improvement, Do It Best (DIB) project, Business continuity project or Sustainability project.
- Support definition of regional Industrial Risk Assessment (IRA) for successful Implementation of new raw material, new process and new product.
- Support factories on any technology capability performance issues
- The Regional DRY/WET Technology Engineer supports the Industrialization process in the region by delivering DRY and WET Technology expertise.
- More precisely, the Regional DRY/WET Technology Engineer will be a key R&D support to deal with product and process topics. She/he is part of following activities:
- Support execution of Industrial test runs needed for innovation plan deployment or portfolio transfer from a factory to another. Deliver guidance on SRC definition and support troubleshooting.
- Support any regional must do projects like product quality improvement, Do It Best (DIB) project, Business continuity project or Sustainability project.
- Support definition of regional Industrial Risk Assessment (IRA) for successful Implementation of new raw material, new process and new product.
- Support factories on any technology capability performance issues
- Support DRY & WET PRODUCT and DRY & WET PROCESS CONFORMANCE in EUROPE region
- Support transfer of process specifications related to DRY/WET manufacturing standard in place and monitor conformance.
- Execute technical audits to assess implementation and conformance of R&D process specifications on factory
- Support PPI on process capability assessment and protocol execution.
- Gather and analyse data.
- Report performance per site (i.e Dosing capability, mixing capability, Cross contamination capability, ...).
- Support transfer of product specifications related to DRY/WET manufacturing standard in place and monitor conformance.
- Execute technical audits to assess implementation and conformance of R&D product specifications on factory
- Analyse product capability performance per site
- Support DRY/WET Process Validation and DRY/ WET product Validation for new equipment and new line commissioning
- Deliver training on process principles (process flow, theory, equipment added value, raw material specifications, process specifications, ... ) and product quality and performance (product specifications, quality attributes checks, production sequences rules, ...).
- Support CVS team and PPI on protocol execution on site
- On start-up phase she / he supports Standard Running Conditions (SRC) implementation, product ramp-up, portfolio implementation (raw material & product),
- Support Complex problem-solving projects
- Is team contributor on complex problem solving related to raw material, product and process.
- Ensure application of robust methodology to support complex problem solving management
