Job summary

Quandela is seeking a Quantum Software Engineer to develop the future software stack for controlling utility-scale quantum computers. You will bridge theory and engineering to build internal tools for translating high-level circuits into hardware-aware pulse schedules on spin-photonic QPUs.

The role requires strong Python skills, experience at software–hardware–theory interfaces, and a passion for advancing quantum software in a collaborative, cross-disciplinary environment.

Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in a quantum-related field.
• 2+ years of experience in quantum software, hardware automation, or related topics.
• Strong understanding of photonic-based quantum computing.
• Proficiency in Python.
• Experience interfacing software, hardware, and theory teams.
• Collaborative mindset and ability to bridge teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop a new compilation stack translating high-level quantum circuits into hardware-aware pulse schedules.
• Drive architectural strategy, technical roadmap, and cross-organizational alignment.
• Contribute to the development of a digital twin to simulate hardware instructions and QPU behavior.
• Stay up to date with the latest developments in quantum software.
