Job summary

Kidde Global Solutions in Gdańsk, Poland, is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to join our R&D team and validate security sensors and peripheral devices across wired and wireless portfolios.

You will ensure functional correctness, robustness, and real-world reliability, translating requirements into test scenarios and maintaining test plans. Strong English communication and hands-on lab testing are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in Electronics or related field.
• Experience in Quality Assurance domain.
• Experience in Quality Assurance for hardware, embedded, or electromechanical products.
• Hands-on experience with device-level testing in lab and/or field environments.
• Ability to translate product and system requirements into effective test scenarios.
• Strong attention to physical, behavioral, and usability edge cases.
• Knowledge of QA processes, methods and tools and ability to use them in practice.
• Analytical, data-driven approach to testing and reporting.
• Clear communication and documentation skills.
• Good command of English language (in writing and speech).

Responsibilities

• Validate functional behavior of security devices.
• Validate device behavior across normal operation, fault conditions, power-up, reset, recovery scenarios.
• Verify battery performance and power consumption profiles.
• Perform environmental and robustness testing.
• Support compliance readiness for EN 50131 through structured test evidence.
• Create and maintain test plans, test reports, and defect documentation.
• Collaborate daily with R&D engineers, product management, and compliance teams.
