Job summary

ILF Consulting Engineers in Fontainebleau / Paris is seeking a Photovoltaic & Battery Energy Storage Systems expert to support international finance institutions, utilities and private clients on large-scale renewables projects.

You will lead feasibility studies, prepare technical specifications, evaluate EPC/IPP bids, supervise construction and stay aligned with market trends, while collaborating across teams and developing new opportunities.

Qualifications

Degree in energy, electrical engineering or similar with focus on Energy Storage Systems (ESS) / Renewable Energies / Photovoltaics.
0–3 years of experience in Power Systems modelling, Battery Systems and VRE generation, with strong battery systems knowledge.
Experience with PV design tools and energy storage simulation software is preferred.
Proficiency in English and French (written and spoken) is essential.
Strong summarizing and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

Operate as a PV & BESS expert to international institutions, utilities, clients and developers.
Participate in feasibility studies covering technology reviews, CAPEX/OPEX estimates, and preliminary system design.
Write PV & BESS technical specifications, evaluate EPC/IPP bids, and vet designs before construction.
Supervise construction and commissioning of energy projects and stay informed on market trends.
Support development teams in pursuing new projects.
