A leading global engineering company in France is looking for a Pump Technician to manage the repair of rotating machinery. You will handle tasks from initial assessment to preparing equipment for shipment, with some service visits to customers. A technical diploma in mechanics is essential, along with strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently. Qualifications

  • Technical diploma or certificate in mechanics or maintenance required.
  • Knowledge of lathe and milling machine operation is preferred.
  • Experience with rotating machinery is considered an asset.

Responsabilités

  • Receive and assess equipment from suppliers and customers.
  • Disassemble and clean equipment for technical assessment.
  • Identify defective parts needing replacement.
  • Reassemble, test, and prepare equipment for shipment.
  • Participate in safety and operational improvement initiatives.

Connaissances

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
Knowledge of mechanics
Strong organizational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Basic knowledge of German and/or English

Job Summary

The Pump Technician will be responsible for the repair of rotating machinery in our workshop, from initial assessment to final shipment. This position also involves occasional on-site service visits to customer locations.

You will have access to the most modern equipment in our facility to meet these requirements and ensure that we deliver a product that meets our customers' specifications.

Your Role

Reporting to the QRC Supervisor and with support from the Technical Lead, the Repair Technician will be responsible for the following key tasks within the workshop :

  • Receiving equipment from suppliers and customers according to established procedures,
  • Disassembling and cleaning equipment for assessment,
  • Performing technical assessments and identifying defective parts to be ordered,
  • Reassembling, testing, and painting the equipment,
  • Preparing the equipment for shipment.
Other Duties

In accordance with company objectives and policies :

  • Participating in initiatives related to safety, quality, and operational improvement,
  • Performing short-term service visits to customer sites for commissioning or troubleshooting,
  • Actively contributing to maintaining a clean and organized workshop, as well as performing basic maintenance on workshop,
  • Operating a forklift and other lifting equipment.
Your Profile
  • A technical diploma or certificate in general mechanics or maintenance, ideally with some knowledge of lathe and milling machine operation,
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics,
  • Knowledge of mechanics, materials, and rotating machinery would be an asset,
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team,
  • Strong organizational skills, meticulous, and detail-oriented,
  • Basic knowledge of German and / or English.
