Project Manager – Data Centre Construction

Earthstream is partnered with an international EPC business who are involved with the design and construction or large Data Center projects, and who are currently looking for an established Project Manager to join the team in Paris.

The Project Manager will oversee the end-to-end delivery of data centre construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards. This role requires strong technical understanding of design and construction, exceptional stakeholder management skills, and the ability to coordinate complex build programmes across multi-disciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full project lifecycle from design, procurement, and pre-construction through to commissioning and handover.
• Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and risk registers.
• Coordinate with design teams, contractors, suppliers, and commissioning specialists.
• Oversee construction progress, site logistics, quality control, safety compliance, and change management.
• Act as the main point of contact for internal and external stakeholders (clients, vendors, consultants, authorities).
• Ensure adherence to data centre standards (e.g., Tier I–IV, Uptime Institute, ISO requirements).
• Work closely with MEP engineers on technical issues such as power distribution, UPS systems, cooling, fire suppression, BMS / SCADA, and redundancy strategies.
• Champion a strong safety culture across all project phases.

Essential skills & experience

• 5+ years of project management experience in data centre, critical infrastructure, or large-scale industrial construction.
• Strong understanding of MEP systems, mission‑critical environments, and high‑availability design principles.
• Proven track record of delivering multi‑million‑pound construction projects.
• Experience managing contractors, engineers, QS teams, and commissioning partners.
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills.
• Proficiency with project management tools (MS Project, Primavera, Power BI, etc.).
• Strong level in both Englihs and French.

Desirable :

• Experience with hyperscale or colocation data centre builds.
• Relevant certifications : PMP, Prince2, APM, SMSTS, NEBOSH.
• Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related fields.
