Alta Ares, a defence technology firm in Paris, seeks a Product Owner to align product development with customer needs and operational realities. You will drive product strategy, gather feedback, and coordinate with engineering, operations, and customers to deliver field-ready solutions.

English fluency is mandatory; French is appreciated for work with Paris headquarters. Expect regular demonstrations, field testing, and travel across Europe to NATO-aligned customers.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years in product management or product ownership
• Background in robotics, autonomous systems, or defence technology
• Experience with agile methodologies and product development cycles
• Understanding of swarm technologies, multi-agent systems, or drone operations
• Proven track record of launching new products or features
• Ability to work in fast-paced, operational environments
• Strong grasp of autonomous systems and AI/ML applications
• Familiarity with software-hardware integration
• Understanding of defence/military operational requirements appreciated
• Willingness to travel regularly for demonstrations and customer meetings across Europe/NATO

Alta Ares is an air defense Neoprime. We build AI-guided interceptors to counter drones and cruise missiles, along with the software platform that powers them.

Role & Mission

As a Product Owner, you are responsible for ensuring the relevance, performance, and continuous improvement of the products by aligning technical development with customer needs and operational realities.

Product Expertise & Strategy

• Develop a strong understanding of our products and their technical specifications

• Contribute to product specifications and roadmap definition in collaboration with internal teams

• Ensure consistency between product evolution and market needs

Customer Insight & Prioritization

• Collect, structure, and prioritise customer feedback

• Translate user needs into clear and actionable product requirements

• Continuously refine priorities to maximise product value and impact

Field Testing & Validation

• Regularly operate in field environments to test and validate solutions

• Ensure products perform effectively under real operational constraints

• Feed field insights back into product improvements

Demonstrations & Operational Preparation

• Prepare and lead customer demonstrations (scenarios, CONOPS, authorisations, field constraints)

• Ensure demonstrations accurately reflect product capabilities and use cases

• Support customer understanding and adoption through hands‑on presentations

Cross‑functional Coordination

• Act as the interface between customers and internal technical and operational teams

• Facilitate communication and alignment across stakeholders

• Support smooth execution from product development to deployment

Requirements

• 3-5+ years of experience in product management or product ownership

• Background in robotics, autonomous systems, or defence technology

• Experience with agile methodologies and product development cycles

• Understanding of swarm technologies, multi–agent systems, or drone operations

• Proven track record of launching new products or features

• Ability to work in fast‑paced, operational environments

Technical Understanding :

• Strong grasp of autonomous systems and AI/ML applications

• Familiarity with software‑hardware integration

• Understanding of defence/military operational requirements appreciated

• Experience with field testing and validation preferred

• Comfort with technical specifications and system architectures

Languages :

• Professional fluency in English (mandatory)

• French appreciated (for work with Paris headquarters)

Travel :

• Willingness to travel regularly for demonstrations and customer meetings (Europe,NATO countries, potential deployments to operational theatres)
