A leading automotive safety company is seeking a Product Engineer Leader based in Nouvelle-Aquitaine. The role involves managing product development projects while ensuring compliance with specifications. Candidates should have a degree in Mechanical Engineering and be fluent in both English and French. • Relevant professional experience in the R&D environment.

We are working to increase vehicle safety by developing seatbelts, airbags and steering wheels and you can be part of our team as Product Engineer Leaderfor its European Steering Wheel Technical Center located in Chiré en Montreuil near Poitiers (86 - France).

If you think you'll like to manage the following responsibilities at higher standards:

• Ensure the development of new products while respecting the Autoliv and customer targets (robustness, cost, delay…).
• Work within a multidisciplinary project team, and you are responsible for developing and monitoring new products in compliance with the specifications and in collaboration with all the parties involved in the project (suppliers, manufacturing, quality, etc.).
• Carry out R&D tasks to meet project milestones in compliance with our business standards.
• Technical customer interface and responsible for ensuring the robustness of the product.
• You coordinate a functional team of one or several technicians (CAD designers).

and if you have/are:

• Engineer’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with mechatronics and system engineering awareness.
• Fluent in English and French (spoken and written)
• Willingness to travel in Europe, Tunisia and Turkey
• Relevant professional experience in the R&D environment as well as knowledge and experience in product development with very good technical understanding and industry knowledge in the automotive industry.
• Good knowledge of problem-solving methods, dimension chains (ISO functional quotation), FMEA…
• Knowledge related to technical drawing and CATIA V5 CAD tools.
