Rippletide SAS is hiring a product engineer to own end-to-end product areas in an AI-driven safety-focused platform. You will work closely with the Head of Engineering and founders, shaping what we build and taking ideas from customer conversations into production.

You’ll own substantial parts of the product, ship rapidly, and help define engineering practices as we grow. Equity is included as part of the compensation package.

Qualifications

• 3+ years shipping production software with end-to-end ownership.
• Strong frontend and backend capabilities; able to ship features across the stack.
• Solid API and data-model design skills; maintainable, tested code.
• Proactive, with ability to decide tradeoffs and move quickly.

About Rippletide

AI agents are starting to update customer records, send messages, and take actions inside business software. As their responsibilities grow, companies need to understand what happened - and decide what should be allowed before the next action.

Rippletide helps companies let AI agents take action safely. Before an agent updates a CRM, closes an incident, or triggers a workflow, we check the action against the company’s business rules and the evidence required to proceed. We determine what can run automatically, what needs human approval, and what must be blocked, with a clear record of why. Our goal is to let agents handle more work while people focus on the exceptions that need their judgment.

We’re looking for a product engineer who wants to move fast, take real ownership, and help shape an ambitious AI product. You’ll work directly with our Head of Engineering and closely with the founders. You’ll help decide what we build, own substantial parts of the product, and take ideas from customer conversations into production.

What you’ll do

• Own a product area end to end. Understand the customer problem, help decide what to build, shape the solution, and take it through launch and iteration.
• Build and ship at a high pace. Break problems into small, reviewable changes, often shipping several PRs a day during implementation. Use short feedback loops to improve the product, and take responsibility for the quality and impact of what you release.
• Find a path through ambiguity. Given a customer problem and business context, investigate, propose an approach, and move forward without needing a fully written specification. Know when to make a decision and when to bring in others.
• Challenge what’s worth building. Assess whether a request solves a real problem, suggest simpler alternatives, and use customer feedback and product evidence to decide what happens next.
• Build across the stack. Create interfaces, APIs, data models, and integrations. You might own the experience that takes a customer from connecting an agent to seeing its first real action and understanding which rules apply.
• Work directly with the Head of Engineering. Align on outcomes and important technical tradeoffs, then take ownership of execution. Help shape the codebase and engineering practices as we grow.

What we’re looking for

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience, shipping and maintaining products in production.
• Full-stack ability. You’re comfortable working on frontend and backend. You can be stronger in one, but you can take a feature through both.
• Strong product judgment. You care about who you’re building for, question assumptions, and know when to simplify or stop.
• Solid technical foundations. You can design APIs and data models, debug unfamiliar systems, and write maintainable, tested software.
• Ownership and initiative. You’ve taken an open-ended problem, worked out what mattered, and delivered a solution. You communicate tradeoffs and ask focused questions when you need context.
• A track record of moving quickly. You can show how you reduced scope, removed blockers, and shipped useful work without losing sight of quality.
• An AI-native approach to engineering. You already use AI coding tools to ship real software. You can explain what you delegate, how you validate the output, and where your own technical judgment matters.
• Curiosity about AI products. You want to build with agents and learn what makes them useful and reliable in practice.

Our stack

TypeScript, React, Vite, and Tailwind CSS on the frontend; Express on the backend; PostgreSQL and Drizzle ORM; Bun and Turborepo. We also build APIs, SDKs, and integrations around AI agents.

Experience with a similar stack is valuable. You don’t need to have used every tool we use.

Nice to have

• Experience in an early-stage startup or building a product from scratch.
• Experience shipping products with LLMs or agents.
• Experience building developer tools, SDKs, or third-party integrations.
• Participation in hackathons or builder events, with something you built and can walk us through.
• Enjoyment of building developer communities—organizing meetups, sharing demos or technical writing, contributing to open source, or helping other builders.
