Job summary

Morgan Stanley Europe SE is seeking a Director in Product Control to safeguard the integrity of the Firm’s books and records and deliver high-quality financial control, reporting and governance. This role partners with Finance and business units to ensure accurate revenue reporting, valuation oversight and a robust control environment.

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of Product Control, Financial Control and Valuation Control within financial services.
• Qualified Accountant.
• Understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, revenue analysis, valuation oversight and close processes.
• Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels in a fast-moving environment.
• Operate independently with sound judgment and take ownership of deliverables and control outcomes.
• Experience partnering with Business Units, auditors and control functions and communicating with senior stakeholders.
• Identify risk, assess controls and implement practical improvements in a regulated environment.
• At least four years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Finance and across the Firm.
• Lead aspects of individual and team deliverables and projects with deep Finance knowledge.
• Adhere to risk and regulatory standards; proactively identify ways to reduce risk.
• Act as a culture carrier; embody Firm values and hold others to standards.
• Deliver financial control and reporting for Morgan Stanley Europe SE with proper accounting classification and timing.
• Report, review and analyze divisional and consolidated net revenue and support close processes.
• Partner with Business Units and Infrastructure to develop budgets and forecasts.
• Review financial performance and promote accountability for risk, expenses, valuations, and governance.
• Serve as a key contact for auditors, tax authorities and Internal Audit reviews.
• Identify key risks and drive enhancements to processes and controls.
