In this role, you will lead the strategic use of real-world data across complex clinical and commercial initiatives, ensuring solutions are scientifically robust, compliant, and tailored to diverse research needs. You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, shaping data strategies that impact global evidence generation and accelerate decision‑making. Acting as a subject matter expert, you will guide stakeholders in optimizing data usage, building strong relationships with data providers, and supporting high‑visibility projects. This position offers significant influence, cross‑functional exposure, and the opportunity to drive innovation in real‑world data strategy at an international scale.

Accountabilities
  • Lead the creation and execution of RWD strategies for proposals, client opportunities, and awarded work, ensuring approaches are fit‑for‑purpose and fully compliant.
  • Serve as a key relationship manager for data providers, contributing to governance structures, overseeing partnership performance, and identifying opportunities to enhance data access and capability.
  • Address complex data application challenges, advise teams on optimal use of RWD in clinical research, and recommend options to expand data availability when needed.
  • Build deep knowledge of assigned RWD sources, maintain up-to-date specifications, support capability content development, and contribute to expanding real‑world research offerings.
  • Collaborate with epidemiology, market access, patient engagement, feasibility, data operations, legal, procurement, and other functional groups to support enterprise‑level RWD initiatives.
  • Manage compliance with internal policies, SOPs, privacy requirements, security standards, and project‑specific contracting needs, representing the organization at key events when required.
  • Support complex RWD RFIs, RFPs, and global projects, ensuring deliverables meet quality and contractual expectations, while partnering with multidisciplinary teams to leverage RWD across study designs.
  • Mentor junior team members, act as a domain expert in client engagements, and contribute to long‑term RWD strategy development.
Requirements
  • At least 8 years of experience within CRO, pharma, or data vendor environments, demonstrating deep expertise in data science or data analytics.
  • Strong understanding of clinical research processes, drug and device development, healthcare markets, and real‑world evidence applications.
  • Fluency in English, with additional fluency in Chinese considered an advantage.
  • Proven ability to design and apply scientific or RWD solutions to meet clinical or commercial needs, supported by experience in budgeting and cost evaluation.
  • Solid knowledge of project management principles and the ability to manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously.
  • Advanced degree in biomedical informatics, public health, data science, life sciences, or a related field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong stakeholder management abilities, and a customer‑focused mindset.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across decentralized teams and translate business needs into data‑driven solutions.
