Description du poste

Postdoctoral Positions – Macrophage Biology & Tissue Immunology; Centre d'Immunologie de Marseille-Luminy (CIML), France

Two postdoctoral positions are available in the laboratory of Dr. Marc Bajenoff at the Centre d’Immunologie de Marseille-Luminy (CIML), a leading institute in fundamental immunology.

Our team investigates how macrophages interact with their stromal environment to maintain tissue homeostasis and support repair. The project will dissect the molecular crosstalk between macrophages and stromal cells in vivo, with the goal of uncovering how these reciprocal interactions shape immune responses and tissue function. This work involves state-of-the-art imaging, mouse genetics, and collaborative projects with European partners and CIML teams specializing in cellular communication and gene regulation.

Candidates
  • A strong background in immunology
  • Experience in mouse models and tissue imaging
  • Interest in macrophage–stroma interactions and tissue immunology
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Environment

CIML hosts more than 250 scientists and provides outstanding core facilities in advanced imaging, flow cytometry, genomics, and animal models. Located within the stunning Calanques National Park in Marseille, the institute offers a unique scientific environment just minutes from the Mediterranean coast.

Contract

Starting January 2026, these fully funded three-year positions, supported by the Agence Nationale de la Recherche (ANR), offer salary according to the CNRS pay scale and full French social benefits.

To Apply

Please send a CV, a brief summary of research accomplishments, a three-page research proposal outlining the project you would like to pursue in our laboratory, and the contact details of two referees to: bajenoff@ciml.univ-mrs.fr. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until the positions are filled.
