Job summary

Inria, the French national research institute for the digital sciences, seeks a researcher to advance methods for robust control equations and to triangulate implicit solution surfaces. You will collaborate across Gamble (Nancy) and Ouragan (Paris) teams on reliable decision tools and visualization software.

Regular travel between Nancy and Paris may be required; 6-months’ tenure before teleworking options.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of symbolic and numerical methods or computational geometry.
• Solid background in linear algebra and differential equations to address control theory (H∞ methods) and linear delay differential systems.
• Programming skills for developing visualization software.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and classify stable singularities in robust control/quasi-polynomial equations.
• Develop algorithms and visualization tools for surfaces with singular points and self-intersections.
• Test and improve numerical triangulation algorithms for perturbed singular curves or surfaces.
• Write scientific documentation, research reports, and publications.
