Job summary

Interdisciplinary Research Institute of Grenoble (IRIG) at CEA Grenoble invites applications for a two-year post-doctoral position on the theory and modeling of Si/Ge spin qubits. The successful candidate should start by 1 April 2027 and will work on advanced quantum theory and simulations.

The project is part of the SPINS initiative and will involve developing and applying TB_Sim, combining DFT, tight-binding and multi-band k.p models to understand spin qubits in Si/SiGe and Ge/SiGe structures,

Qualifications

• PhD in Quantum, Condensed Matter or Solid-State Physics.
• Strong background in spin qubits theory and quantum modeling.
• Experience with TB_Sim, DFT, tight-binding or k·p modeling.

Responsibilities

• Theoretical development of spin qubit models for Si/SiGe and Ge/SiGe systems.
• Collaborate with experimental groups in Grenoble.
• Maintain and develop TB_Sim code and simulations.
