Postdoc position – QuantERA PROTEQT
Quantum technologies are one of the most dynamic fields of advanced technology, and of major strategic importance for France and Europe. As a result, the University of Strasbourg and CESQ, in collaboration with international partners, are participating to a collaborative research project under the QuantERA programme and cofunded by the French National Research Agency ANR, which aims to create synergies and promote collaboration in research and innovation in quantum science and technology.
The QuantERA project PROTECT “Protection of quantum information in small clusters of qubits“ proposes an approach to enhance qubit coherence by orders of magnitude by storing quantum information in the lowest energy states of small qubit clusters. In Strasbourg we will apply these principles to realize protected states of Rydberg atom ensembles, as an enabling technology for future fault-tolerant neutral atom quantum processors.
This collaborative project will help reinforce the University of Strasbourg's position as a leader in the field of quantum science and quantum technology, by transforming stablished quantum science into practical technologies, demonstrating new quantum devices and systems and foster innovation in quantum applications.
