Job summary

1000scholars invites a Postdoctoral researcher to join the JUNN project in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region. The role focuses on extending space partitioning structures for non-planar geometry, using CGAL, C++, and lidar-style data, with an emphasis on efficient updates to 3D city models.

Qualifications

• PhD in computer science with specialization in 3D geometry or computational geometry.
• Experience with CGAL, computational geometry, or geometry processing is required.
• Experience collaborating with research teams and interdisciplinary partners is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop expressive data structures to generalize line and plane arrangements to non-planar geometries.
• Investigate update-friendly algorithms to modify 3D city models locally without full reconstructions.
• Collaborate with partners (Luxcarta, GeometryFactory) to ensure scalable, efficient implementations.
