Postdoc: Helium Implantation for Functional Materials

A research institution in France seeks a post-doctoral researcher to participate in a project focused on the effects of helium implantation on functional materials. Responsibilities include installing ion sources, conducting experiments, characterizing materials' properties, and participating in scientific communication. Ideal candidates will have expertise in ion implantation, PLD synthesis, and functional materials characterization. This position is full-time and based in France, with a starting date of March 1, 2026.

Qualifications

• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Ability to organize and follow-through an experiment plan.
• Scientific autonomy required.
• Experience in ion implantation and/or thin film synthesis is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Participate in the installation and testing of an ion source.
• Characterize the crystalline structure post-implantation.
• Study the effect of helium implantation on materials.
